When you open the bonnet, there's a little switch under what looks like a set of black "bellows" at the front left hand side , on the cross member. Mk7.5 bonnet stuck shut. So I have just been to open the bonnet on my 2013 fiesta st 2 but the lever on the drivers footwell doesn’t seem to do anything. Tried gently pushing on the bonnet when it’s pulled to ‘relieve the pressure’ but it still won’t open. Local dealer are wanting almost £700 to fix the issue.
Closing the Hood. 1. Remove the hood strut from the catch and secure it correctly in the clip. 2. Lower the hood and allow it to drop under its own weight for the last 8-12 in (20-30 cm). Note: Make sure that the hood is correctly closed.

If you have a close look there is a little grill in the dash near your left knee. The sensor has a small fan in it to draw the cabin air in and these are prone to making a buzzing noise..
