The 24-105mm focal length range almost seems to be the default for Canon standard zoom lenses and there are already two in the RF system, the RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM and the entry-level 24-105mm I bought an R with the RF 24-105 L about 3 years ago, and I added the 24-105 RF STM a year ago for ease of carrying. The RF L lens is clearly the best, as it should be, given the price. But there's very little in it between the STM and the EF L - optical performance is remarkably similar - weakest at 24mm, otherwise pretty decent.

Usable Aperture Range: I often just set it either at F4 or F8 and have no issues. Low light performance on the Canon R6 is actually quite nice, you can probably expect this lens (in this setup) to act more like a F2.8 lens on older DLSRs when low light performance is considered. Together with IBIS it allows to shoot 1/4th of a second at 105mm with quite consistently sharp results. - RF has way faster AF. - both IS and AF are much quieter with RF. - EF feels more rigid thanks to its metal body. - EF suffers from the barrel wobble at 24mm. No impact on IQ, it is just the feel.
As my title states - I have ZERO regrets. I bought the R with the RF 24-105 f4 IS lens and a the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter for my EF-L lens lineup. The RF 24-105 that I got with my R is the quickest focusing, tack sharp lenses I have ever owned. The IS gives me at least 3 stops to play with in low light. In my tests I can easily shoot 1

The Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM is the first super-telephoto zoom lens for EOS R-system mirrorless cameras. It goes without saying this is a high-quality lens with its L-series build, and even has a heat shield coating for coping with shooting in challenging weather conditions, whether it’s hot or cold.
